The National Trail Blazers fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against the Milton-Union Bulldogs on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 57-47 to the Bulldogs. National Trail has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Milton-Union's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Braden Schaurer, who scored 14 points along with seven assists and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Schaurer has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Wyatt Kimmel, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and five steals.
National Trail's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Milton-Union, their win bumped their record up to 2-11.
National Trail will be playing in front of their home fans against Dixie at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Milton-Union, Milton-Union and Troy Christian will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Troy Christian will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
