It was a good run, but the Atlanta Classical Academy Cavaliers unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a serious blow against Christian Heritage, falling 91-43. Atlanta Classical Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 56-25.
When it comes to explaining why Atlanta Classical Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Owen McGowan. Despite the final result, he scored 18 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Zachary Bynum was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Atlanta Classical Academy's loss dropped their record down to 18-7. As for Christian Heritage, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season.
Atlanta Classical Academy will take on Mt. Zion at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Atlanta Classical Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Saturday. Christian Heritage's road trip will continue as they head out to face Greenforest at 7:00 p.m. on February 13th. Greenforest is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
