Granbury won the last time they faced Saginaw and Mattie Weaver did her part to make sure it happened again. The Pirates came out on top against the Rough Riders by a score of 3-1 on Friday thanks in part to Weaver, who had 15 digs and two aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last seven games she's played.

While Granbury might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Saginaw scored at least 21 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 27-25, 22-25, 25-22.

Granbury's win bumped their record up to 18-20. As for Saginaw, they dropped their record down to 14-18 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Granbury will take on rival Chisholm Trail at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Saginaw is set to square off against their familiar foe Brewer at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
