Volleyball Recap: Wood River Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Wood River, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They blew past the Highland Rams 3-0 on Tuesday. The Wolverines not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since November 1, 2024 (when they won 3-0).

Wood River never let Highland on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-17, 27-25, 25-15.

Jaycie Homer and Britt Reno certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Homer had 16 assists and four digs, while Reno had nine assists and two aces. Andee Matthews also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

Wood River's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Highland, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.

Wood River didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-2 win against Kimberly on the 26th. After both having extra time off, Highland and Idaho Falls will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:00 p.m. on September 4.
