The Aquinas Blugolds won the last time they faced the Bangor Cardinals, and things went their way on Saturday too. Aquinas walked away with a 48-38 victory over Bangor. The win made it back-to-back wins for Aquinas.
Aquinas' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Samantha Davis, who scored 15 points. Davis hasn't dropped below 15points for 14 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Madeline Murphy, who scored ten points along with four steals.
Aquinas' victory bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Bangor, their loss ended a eight-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Aquinas will face off against Tomah at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Tomah has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 29. As for Bangor, they will head out on the road to square off against Royall at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
