Softball Recap: Western Alamance Makes It Six in a Row at Home

Western Alamance was forced to take a big defeat against they on Friday, they got the better of them on Monday. Everything went their way against the Southern Alamance Patriots as they made off with a 12-6 win. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.

Western Alamance got a massive performance out of Bayleigh Burris, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Justice, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Western Alamance's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-9. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Southern Alamance, their loss dropped their record down to 11-14.

Looking ahead, Western Alamance is taking a road trip to challenge Eastern Alamance at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Warriors' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Southern Alamance does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
