St. John's Northwestern Military Academy scored the most runs they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of the Catholic Central Hilltoppers by a score of 18-16. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Lancers have suffered since May 16, 2024.

Damien Dax led a balanced group of hitters, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Dietrich, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and three runs.

St. John's Northwestern Military Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Catholic Central, their win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-11.
