The Williston Red Devils will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bradford Tornadoes at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Williston will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
Williston took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Chiefland, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Williston came out on top in a nail-biter against Chiefland on Friday, sneaking past 7-6. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Red Devils as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Jacob Loock made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the first time he hasn't allowed a single hit since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Breeden Clemenzi was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Williston is 5-1 when Clemenzi posts two or more runs, but 5-6 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Waylon Geiger, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.
Meanwhile, Bradford scored the most runs they've had this season on Monday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of Middleburg by a score of 19-17. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Tornadoes have suffered since February 10th.
Nehemiah Flowers made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaedan Parks, who scored three runs while going 3-for-5.
Even though they lost, Bradford always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Williston's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Bradford, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-10.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Williston has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.6 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Bradford struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Everything went Williston's way against Bradford in their previous matchup back in March, as Williston made off with a 17-8 victory. Will Williston repeat their success, or does Bradford has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
