Softball Recap: Kelso Snags Third Win in Last Four Games

Kelso came out on top against Heritage on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run fifth inning. The Hilanders never let the Timberwolves get on the board and left with an 11-0 win. The Hilanders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by seven runs or more this season.

Heritage's batters probably weren't too happy with Paityn Mackin, who pitched a no hitter and racked up ten Ks (she gave up four walks).

At the plate, Skylar Richie was incredible, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Kailanah Hagdahl, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

Kelso has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Heritage, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.

As of now, neither Kelso nor Heritage have any future games scheduled.
