The Hart County Bulldogs fell victim to the Stephens County Indians''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were beaten by the Indians 35-0. While losing is never fun, Hart County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 207th, while Stephens County is ranked 26th).
It was another big night for Javin Gordon, who rushed for 98 yards, and also caught a touchdown. Davon Swinton made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Hart County now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Stephens County, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hart County has the luxury of staying home another week and will welcome Hebron Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on October 27th. Hebron Christian Academy is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Stephens County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Oconee County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Oconee County and Stephens County are at an even 3-3 over their past six head-to-heads.
