The Gouverneur Wildcats suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Monday. They took a serious blow against Massena, falling 61-32. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Gouverneur has scored all season.
Massena was led to victory by Taylor Mitchell and Colin Patterson. Mitchell scored 18 points along with six steals, while Patterson scored 21 points along with nine rebounds and three blocks. Brandon Barnes was another key contributor, scoring five points.
Gouverneur now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Massena, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Potsdam the next time they take the court. Massena will host Potsdam at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Gouverneur will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
