Denver South got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Christian Cobb out in front who almost dropped a double-double with 19 points and nine boards. Cobb also posted five blocks, which is notable because the Ravens are 2-1 when he posts at least three blocks, but 2-4 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Jayden Davis, who shot 54% from the field to rack up 18 points and three steals.
Denver South smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in four consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Rangeview against Northfield on Tuesday as the squad secured a 79-43 victory. The win continues a trend for the Raiders in their matchups with the Nighthawks: they've now won five in a row.
Denver South better focus on containing Marceles Duncan and Archie Weatherspoon V as the pair were huge in Rangeview's win. Duncan went 11-for-15 on his way to 27 points in addition to eight rebounds and three blocks, while Weatherspoon V shot 82% from the field en route to 24 points and three steals. What's more, Duncan also posted a 73% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in February of 2025. Aidan Perez was another key player, putting up ten points.
Denver South's record is now 4-5. As for Rangeview, their record now sits at 8-3.
Thursday's game is shaping up to be a masterclass in shooting: Denver South just can't miss this season, having made 49.1% of their shots per game. However, it's not like Rangeview struggles in that department as they've nailed 49% of their field goals this season. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Denver South lost to Rangeview on the road by a decisive 70-54 margin in their previous matchup back in February of 2025. Can the Ravens avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
