Meanwhile, Miller School of Albemarle was beaten by the Bishops 76-44 on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, Miller School of Albemarle can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 226th, while the Bishops are ranked 98th).
Roanoke Catholic now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Miller School of Albemarle, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.
Roanoke Catholic took a serious blow against the Mavericks in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 82-40. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Roanoke Catholic was down 42-17.
