The Manchester Township Hawks stacked a sixth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 53-28 margin over Central Regional. Given Manchester Township's advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 75th, while Central Regional is ranked 281st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Devyn Quigley was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 31 points and ten rebounds. That makes it 16 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Manchester Township's points. Another player making a difference was Madeline Nolan, who scored seven points along with five steals.
Manchester Township pushed their record up to 12-4 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.6 points per game. As for Central Regional, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.
Manchester Township won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Holy Spirit at 7:00 p.m. on January 27th. As for Central Regional, they will head out on the road to square off against Jackson Memorial at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Jackson Memorial is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.
