The biggest upset of the week belonged to Norfolk Christian, who took down 174th ranked Norfolk Academy, 35-34.
The Ambassadors extended the longest winning streak in VISFA Tidewater this week by beating the Bulldogs, 35-34. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
Greenbrier Christian Academy's dynamic duo of Josh Miller and Ty Smith proved tough for Nansemond-Suffolk Academy to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Miller threw for 53 yards and one touchdown and Smith had 51 yards receiving. Colby Lee helped Greenbrier Christian Academy's passing attack out by catching one ball for two yards.
David Gough was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 22 carries, he ran for 283 yards as the Saints lost to the Saints. Ryan McClain also contributed to the rushing game with 75 yards on the ground.
Greenbrier Christian Academy's Miller and Bryce Myers have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Miller has thrown for 743 yards this season, while Myers, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 18 catches for 471 yards. Quincy Mock from Hampton Roads Academy leads the league in rushing with 1169 yards.
A big matchup in VISFA Tidewater this week will be when Donnie Simpson's team takes on Heath Gibbs' team. As it stands, the Gators are in fourth, while the Ambassadors are in first.
Norfolk Christian was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from third to first in the league. The Ambassadors defeated Norfolk Academy 35-34 earlier in the week.
