Union County's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mason Stewart, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. Stewart scored a full 25.9% of Union County's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Gavin Davis, who scored 14 points.
Union County has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Jac-Cen-Del, the win got them back to even at 5-5.
Union County and Victory College Prep will round out the year against one another at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at. Jac-Cen-Del will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Waldron at 7:30 p.m. on January 13, 2024.
