Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for The Barberton Magics, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They were dealt a 41-7 defeat at the hands of Archbishop Hoban on Friday. The low total for Barberton limited their streak of high-flying scores to four in a row.
Dominic Wilson threw for 186 yards and a touchdown while completing 71.4% of his passes. Kenny Larry was his top target, picking up 68 receiving yards.
Barberton's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Archbishop Hoban, their victory bumped their record up to 10-1.
Barberton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Archbishop Hoban will be playing at home against Riverside at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Riverside will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 58th, while Archbishop Hoban is ranked third).
