The Pleasant Hill Roosters/Chicks lost against the Notre Dame de Sion Storm back in February of 2020, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Pleasant Hill took a serious blow against Notre Dame de Sion, falling 64-32. Pleasant Hill was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-13.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Notre Dame de Sion to victory, but perhaps none more so than Taelyn Smith, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Abby Wendte, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Pleasant Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Notre Dame de Sion, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-6.
Pleasant Hill won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Pembroke Hill on January 12th. Pembroke Hill is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Notre Dame de Sion, they will take on Grandview at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Grandview focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 on Thursday.
