Samantha Adams went supernova for Belvidere North, scoring 21 points along with three steals. Adams is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Cortlyn Hefty, who scored ten points along with seven steals and six rebounds.
Belvidere North's win ended a nine-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-22. As for Rockford East, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-24.
Belvidere North will square off against Sycamore at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rockford East, they will face off against Hononegah at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hononegahpresents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Rockford East in Illinois (Hononegah is ranked 52nd, while Rockford East is ranked 576th).
