Burlingame made easy work of Lebo on Friday and carried off a 54-26 victory. Followers of Burlingame probably expected little less of the team in a season in which they have collected six blowout victories.
Burlingame's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 36 points in the first half. Lebo countered with 6 points, leaving the score at 36-6 going into the half. Burlingame put the matchup away in the third quarter with 12 points from the offense and eight points allowed from the defense.
Senior Seth Greenwood, who rushed for 113 yards and 3 touchdowns, was a major factor in Burlingame's success. If you haven't heard Greenwood's name lately, then you haven't been paying much attention: he has loomed large in their past eight games. The Burlingame defense stepped up as well to lay out the quarterback five times.
The win bumped Burlingame's record up to 7-1. The loss dropped Lebo back to even at 4-4.
