Derek Keeley's Big Game Leads Rocklin over Granite Bay
Starting off the list is Rocklin's Derek Keeley, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Keeley rushed for 142 yards and a touchdown. Those 142 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.
Keeley is probably looking forward to his next game, a road matchup against Del Oro on Friday. When Keeley last faced the Golden Eagles back in November of 2023, he rushed for 115 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries.

Merino Made His Presence Known in Rocklin's 35-21 Victory
The second Rocklin player making an appearance here is Rafi Merino, and for good reason. He rushed for 117 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.3 yards per carry.
This season, Merino has run in 13 touchdowns while averaging 87.4 rushing yards per game.

Ryder Lyons Dazzles in Folsom Win
Folsom picked up their sixth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Ryder Lyons. Lyons was dynamite, throwing for 171 yards and five touchdowns. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for five or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.
Unfortunately for Whitney, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Lyons. When Lyons last faced the Wildcats back in October of 2023, he threw for 267 yards and five touchdowns, and also rushed for 40 yards.

Darnell Turner Jr. Delivers Best Effort of Season
On Friday, Granite Bay had to settle for second even though Darnell Turner Jr. put up the best numbers he has all season. Turner Jr. picked up 91 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 57 yards and a touchdown.
Granite Bay's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-2. Turner Jr. and Granite Bay will host Davis Sr. at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
