BJ Pelt ran for three touchdowns and
Darren Dorsey added two as well as
Thunderbird (Phoenix, Ariz.) bested Moon Valley (Phoenix, Ariz.) 54-21 on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a Dorsey touchdown run in the first quarter, the Chiefs led 40-7 at the half.
Thunderbird expanded its lead to 40 points entering the fourth quarter. THS scored once in the quarter on a
Kaleb Hofer touchdown run.
A big 28-point first quarter helped the Chiefs secure the win. Thunderbird scored on a Dorsey touchdown run, a touchdown pass by
Jake Glatting to
Adam Turner, a touchdown run by Pelt and a Pelt touchdown run in the quarter.
With the win THS extended its winning streak to three games.
In a III Section VI game next week Thunderbird (4-3) takes on Washington, and Moon Valley (3-4) will go up against Alhambra also in a III Section VI game.
