C Burks posted a new career-high in stolen bases on Tuesday. As a matter of fact, he produced his best game of the campaign: he scored four runs and stole five bases while going 4-for-5. He has become a key player for Scott Central: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 1-13 otherwise.

Burks' strong effort led Scott Central over Bay Springs and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rebels are a perfect 4-0 against the Bulldogs going back to March of 2024, a lead they'll look to extend.
