The Glen Allen Jaguars will head out on the road to take on the Godwin Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
It was a proper cat-fight when Glen Allen took on Deep Run on Friday. The Jaguars never let the Wildcats get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory. Surprisingly, this marked the Jaguars' sixth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Jaidyn Tillman

04/30/25 @ Atlee | 8 |
04/28/25 vs Matoaca | 16 |
Not much got past Jaidyn Tillman, who gave up just three hits and racked up 11 Ks to keep Deep Run off the board. Tillman has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Glen Allen let Ashton Limbach and Alison Via run wild. Limbach got on base in two of her three plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs, while Via went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave Limbach a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kenzie Hueston, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Godwin put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over Hanover. The game was the first time the Eagles have beaten the Hawks on their field since April 3, 2017.
Katelyn Hubley made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Hubley was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Carter Dunham, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Bella Ross was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
Godwin kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in seven consecutive matchups.
Glen Allen's record is now 10-3. As for Godwin, they pushed their record up to 14-0 with the win, which was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Glen Allen has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 10.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Godwin struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 12.4 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Glen Allen might still be hurting after the 13-0 loss they got from Godwin when the teams last played two weeks ago. Can the Jaguars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
