After flying high against the Nuiqsut Trapper Trappers on Friday, the Alak Huskies came back down to earth. Alak fell 54-46 to Kali on Friday. Alak was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Kali apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played last Saturday.
Despite the loss, Alak saw an underclassman step up: Roxanne Nayakik scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mabel Aguvluk, who scored eight points.
Alak's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 2-1. As for Kali, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
