Meanwhile, Chicago Academy had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 54-47 win over Foreman on Thursday. The victory was just what Chicago Academy needed coming off of a 77-52 defeat in their prior matchup.
Isaiah Cortez was his usual excellent self, scoring 35 points along with six rebounds and five assists. That makes it ten consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Chicago Academy's points.
Kelvyn Park's loss dropped their record down to 13-3. As for Chicago Academy, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-10.
