Pahrump Valley is 7-0 against Sunrise Mountain since December of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. Having just played yesterday, the Pahrump Valley Trojans will get right back to it and host the Sunrise Mountain Miners at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Pahrump Valley took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas by a score of 49-40. The win was some much needed relief for the Trojans as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Pahrump Valley found their leader in sophomore Riley Saldana, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 17 boards. That makes it four consecutive games in which Saldana has scored at least a third of Pahrump Valley's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryleigh Denton, who posted 16 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.

Pahrump Valley smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in three consecutive matches.

Sunrise Mountain played against Mojave and won via forfeit.

Sunrise Mountain's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 8-11. As for Pahrump Valley, their win bumped their record up to 9-12.

Everything went Pahrump Valley's way against Sunrise Mountain in their previous matchup back in February of 2020, as Pahrump Valley made off with a 57-31 victory. Does Pahrump Valley have another victory up their sleeve, or will Sunrise Mountain turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
