Despite the loss, Lighthouse College Prep Academy saw an underclassman step up: Derek Scott, Jr scored 25 points along with two steals. That was a full 43.1% of Lighthouse College Prep Academy's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Amarion Woodland, who scored 12 points.
Lighthouse College Prep Academy's loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Farragut, their win bumped their record up to 7-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lighthouse College Prep Academy will challenge La Lumiere Blue at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Farragut, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Taft at 1:00 p.m. on January 27th.
