Even though the Scott Highlanders scored an imposing 65 points on Friday, the Monterey Wildcats still came out on top. Monterey skirted past Scott  67-65. The  win made it back-to-back wins for Monterey.
 Monterey can attribute much of their success to  Kelsi Flanigan, who  scored 27 points along with 5  assists and 5  steals. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kaci Flanigan, who  scored 13 points.
 The  victory  got Monterey back to even at 2-2. As for Scott,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 1-3.
 Monterey will look to defend their home court  on Tuesday against Sunbright at 6:30  p.m. Sunbright presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Monterey in Tennessee (Sunbright is ranked 20th, while Monterey is ranked 205th). As for Scott, they will face off against Mount Pisgah Christian Academy at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
