Baseball Recap: Platt RVT Wins Going Away Against Wright Tech

Platt RVT barely beat Wright Tech the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Panthers were the clear victors by an 11-4 margin over the Warriors on Monday. That seven run margin sets a new team best for the Panthers this season.

Platt RVT got a great performance from Matt Karaffa as he pitched five innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits.

At the plate, Jordan Jones was incredible, going 4-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Mongillo, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Platt RVT kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in four consecutive matchups.

Platt RVT's victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-6. As for Wright Tech, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Platt RVT didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 9-2 win against Abbott RVT on the 30th. As for Wright Tech, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 8-7 defeat against Vinal RVT on the 30th.
