Parrish Community got a great performance from Isabella Yazzetti as she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Yazzetti has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season.
At the plate, Jersie Rohde was a standout: she scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-4. Those stolen bases marked the first that she snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Mackenzie Pandelo, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2.
Parrish Community always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .536. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, Berkeley Prep entered their tilt with Land O' Lakes on Tuesday with three consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Gators, sneaking past 3-1. That's two games straight that the Buccaneers have won by exactly two runs.
Claire Patchen made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Patchen was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
Patchen wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Avery Powers, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.
Parrish Community pushed their record up to 8-1 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Berkeley Prep, their record now sits at 7-2.
Berkeley Prep's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Parrish Community hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .338. It's a different story for Berkeley Prep, though, as they've only averaged .251. Will they be able to contain Parrish Community's hitters?
