Mendocino is 9-1 against the Bearcats since February of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Mendocino Cardinals will be playing in front of their home fans against the Potter Valley Bearcats at 8:00 p.m. Potter Valley took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Mendocino, who comes in off a win.
Last Tuesday, Mendocino beat the Mustangs 55-48.
Mendocino's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Theo Hahn, who scored 18 points. Dylan Zeramby was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Potter Valley, who are still winless after their 12th contest. They took a 50-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Laytonville on Tuesday.
Mendocino has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. As for Potter Valley, they dropped their record down to 0-12 with that loss, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.
Everything came up roses for Mendocino against the Bearcats in their previous meeting back in January as the team secured a 65-30 win. Will Mendocino repeat their success, or do the Bearcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
