Last Thursday, South Broward made easy work of Sports Leadership & Management and carried off an 11-4 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

At the plate, Keniel Marrero was incredible, going 2-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of South Broward's success: when he posts at least three RBI the team is 2-1 (and 7-10-1 when he doesn't). Giancarlo Rivera was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-5.
South Broward always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .513. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in five consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, South Plantation never let their opponents score on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over Plantation. The win continues a trend for the Paladins in their matchups with the Colonels: they've now won seven in a row.
Jack Hauser looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three).
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Benjamin Coffey, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Scott Pinnock, who went 1-for-3 with four stolen bases and one RBI.
South Broward's victory bumped their record up to 9-11-1. As for South Plantation, their win bumped their record up to 8-10.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. South Broward has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like South Plantation struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.1 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
South Broward beat South Plantation 4-1 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Paladins have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
