Jacob Swint and Ethan Northrup provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Oliver Springs. The connection went for 64 yards, the longest such play in A District 4 this season.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Coalfield beat Oneida 21-10. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Yellowjackets.
Sunbright's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Swint threw for 151 and 1 touchdown and Northrup had 84 yards receiving. On the ground Swint chipped in 209 yards. John Martin Stephens helped Sunbright's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 67 yards.
Swint was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 209 yards on 22 carries as the Tigers topped the Bobcats. Teammate Skyler Bunch added to the ground attack by rushing for 19 yards.
Sunbright's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Tigers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Swint has thrown for 946 yards and 15 touchdowns this season, while Stephens has 24 catches for 417 yards.
The top two teams in A District 4 will face off this week when first place Sunbright takes on second place Oneida.
Bunch of the Sunbright is just 62 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. Bunch has rushed for 938 yards on 125 carries so far this year.
Wartburg Central took down Jellico 35-8 last week, the largest margin of any game.
