The Cannelton Bulldogs suffered their biggest loss since December 4, 2023 on Saturday. They were beaten by Lighthouse Christian Academy 68-34. Cannelton just can't catch a break and has now endured three defeats in a row.
Lighthouse Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Ellie mae Winders, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten assists. Another player making a difference was Jane Holdeman, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and two blocks.
Cannelton's loss dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Lighthouse Christian Academy, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cannelton will take on Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lighthouse Christian Academy, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Pleasant View Christian at 6:30 p.m. on January 23rd.
