Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Lewis-Palmer Rangers, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They were the victim of a rough 42-17 defeat at the hands of the Tigers on Friday. Lewis-Palmer's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Despite the loss, Lewis-Palmer still got an impressive performance from Jayden Pagano, who rushed for 133 yards and a touchdown.
Leading Holy Family to victory were Rylan Cooney and Dominic Gabriel. Cooney threw for 190 yards and three touchdowns on only 16 passes, while Gabriel rushed for 184 yards and two touchdowns. Monte Samaras was in the mix as well, providing Holy Family with two touchdowns.
Lewis-Palmer's loss dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Holy Family, they pushed their record up to 11-1 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home.
Lewis-Palmer does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Holy Family will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Thompson Valley at 1:00 p.m. Thompson Valley's defense has only allowed 14.5 points per game this season, so Holy Family's offense will have their work cut out for Holy Family.
