The Eastern Randolph Wildcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hayesville Yellowjackets at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
With a playoff game on the line, Eastern Randolph rose to the challenge on Friday. They blew past Cherryville, posting a 68-7 victory at home. The win was familiar territory for Eastern Randolph who now have ten in a row.
Carter Revelle got back to being his usual excellent self, as he threw for 209 yards and three touchdowns while completing 84.6% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
Meanwhile, Hayesville owes their defense a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 28-0 win over Christ the King. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Hayesville had established a 21 point advantage.
Hayesville can attribute much of their success to Taylor Mcclure, who rushed for 55 yards and two touchdowns, and Tre Graves, who rushed for 135 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.9 yards per carry.
Eastern Randolph pushed their record up to 10-1 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 47.0 points per game. As for Hayesville, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.
