Central scored a stunning upset when it knocked off Smiths Station, 26-15. At the time, the Panthers were ranked ninth in the state, while the Red Devils were 56th.
Auburn was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from third to first in 6A Region 3. The Tigers defeated Opelika 21-14 earlier in the week.
Auburn's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Bradley Northcutt threw for 70 yards and Tyus O'Neal El had 54 yards receiving. On the ground Tyus Flakes chipped in 79 yards. Rashaan Evans helped Auburn's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 11 yards.

Darian Yancey was a key player and the best on defense this week as the Tigers beat Opelika. The 6-foot-2 defensive end pulled down 1 interception.
Flakes provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Auburn topped Brian Blackmon's team.
Carver's Mike Mckenny and Landy Capetillo have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-10 quarterback Mckenny has thrown for 1,231 yards this season, while Capetillo has 26 catches for 500 yards. Devante Marshall from Smiths Station leads the league in rushing with 904 yards.
Marshall of the Mark Rose's team is only 96 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 129 carries Marshall has put up 904 yards this year.
The Tigers added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Bulldogs, 21-14. The win marks sixth in a row for the Auburn.
