Grenada has gone a perfect 6-0 against Independence recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Chargers will host the Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. The last three games Grenada has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
Grenada made up a huge gap compared to their last game against DeSoto Central, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Chargers fell just short of the Jaguars by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday. The game marked the first time this year in which the Chargers were not able to get on the board.

Mary Taylour Wilbourn spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on five hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Independence, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 23-2 margin over Rosa Fort on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won seven in a row.
Irelynn Chambers made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Chambers was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Shelbie Helton was incredible, going 1-for-3 with four stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Karis Pace was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs and one stolen base.
Independence always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .938. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rosa Fort only posted an OBP of .273.
Independence's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Grenada, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.
Grenada got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in March of 2025 against Independence by a conclusive 17-0 score. Will the Chargers repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
