The Waconia Wildcats won their last game against the New Prague Trojans, and it was the same story this time around. Waconia captured a comfortable 69-56 win over New Prague this past Friday. The victory was business as usual for the Wildcats as it makes ten in a row.
It was another big night for Waconia's senior PJ Hayes IV, who had 27 points and six assists in addition to nine boards and three blocks. Junior Spencer Swanson was another key contributor, picking up 26 points along with nine rebounds.
The win bumped Waconia's record up to 19-4. New Prague's overall record fell to 5-17.
The Wildcats will be playing at home against Sauk Rapids-Rice Monday. Sauk Rapids-Rice is also hoping to continue their momentum after a 69-57 win over Rocori this past Thursday. As for New Prague, they will go up against Chaska Monday. New Prague fans better hope the squad plays one heck of a game as the odds are decidedly against them.
