After a string of three wins, the Bethesda Christian Patriots's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell to Cascade 48-42. If Bethesda Christian hoped to take revenge for the 51-29 defeat against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
When it comes to explaining why Bethesda Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kenzie Fulks. Despite the final result, she scored 23 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Fulks has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Jayla Ferguson was another key contributor, scoring six points along with four blocks.
Bethesda Christian's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-5. As for Cascade, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matches, which provided a massive bump to their 12-10 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bethesda Christian will challenge Covenant Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Covenant Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 277th, while Bethesda Christian is ranked 133rd). As for Cascade, they will head out on the road to square off against Speedway at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Speedway focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Tuesday.
