South Pointe won against Eduprize last Thursday with 65 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Wednesday. The South Pointe Griffins took down the ASU Prep Sun Devils 65-48. The victory continues a trend for the Griffins in their matchups with the Sun Devils: they've now won five in a row.

South Pointe's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lee Reed, who posted 26 points. Zyion Brown was another key player, putting up 17 points.

ASU Prep's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Luis Acosta, who had 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of David Cabral, who put up ten points.

South Pointe's victory bumped their record up to 11-9. As for ASU Prep, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

Coming up, South Pointe will venture away from home to challenge Learning Foundation & Performing Arts at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Learning Foundation & Performing Arts knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten contests -- so hopefully South Pointe likes a good challenge. ASU Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
