Mountain View proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by 11) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a run and slipped past the Kuna Kavemen 2-1. The Mavericks haven't had any issues with the Kavemen recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Davey Green spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits.

At the plate, Mountain View's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Cade Burnham, who went 1-for-3 with one triple.

Mountain View's victory bumped their record up to 15-8. As for Kuna, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-12 record this season.

Mountain View wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 7-3 win against Eagle on the 1st. As for Kuna, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-5 loss against Timberline on the 29th.
