Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Brennan walked away with it. They breezed past the East Central Hornets to the tune of 87-49 on Tuesday. The Bears have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 26 matches by 25 points or more this season.
Brennan was led to victory by Kingston Flemings and Camden Cowgill. Flemings went 8-for-10 to rack up 19 points in addition to eight assists and eight rebounds, while Cowgill went 7-for-16 en route to 21 points and five boards. Flemings continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Donovan Criss, who posted five points along with six assists and six boards.
The victory was the 21st in a row for Brennan, bringing their record for this year to 32-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 49.5 points. As for East Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 23-14.
Coming up, Brennan will take on Steele at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Steele knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 33 games -- so hopefully Brennan likes a good challenge. East Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
