After both having extra time off, the Dansville Mustangs and the Caledonia-Mumford Raiders will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another  at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Given that  the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this  contest.
Dansville fought the good fight in their extra-innings  game against Haverling  last Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Rams by a score of  10-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  defeat the Mustangs have suffered  since May 6, 2024.
  Carson Mays was cooking despite his team's loss,   getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  RBI.  Mark Sick was another key player,  getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  RBI.
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Caledonia-Mumford and Keshequa meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again  last Wednesday. The Raiders came up short against  the Indians, falling  14-6.
  Dillon Alcott made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  got on base  in two of his four plate appearances with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Zach Boop, who  went 1-for-3 with two  runs and one  stolen base.
 Caledonia-Mumford now  has a losing record of 1-2. As for Dansville, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
 Dansville took their  victory against Caledonia-Mumford  in their previous matchup  back in April of 2024 by a conclusive  15-0 score. Will the Mustangs repeat their success,  or do  the Raiders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
