The Scituate Spartans will square off against the Tiverton Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Scituate will be strutting in after a victory while Tiverton will be coming in after a defeat.
Tiverton will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Scituate extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday. Everything went the Spartans' way against Davies Career & Tech as they made off with a 10-2 win. Considering the Spartans have won six matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Aiden Ouillette made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Ouillette was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.
In other pitching news, Quinn Liptrot looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, Travis Howman and Jackson Scanlon did most of the damage at the plate: Howman got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one double, while Scanlon went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases Scanlon has posted since back in May of 2024. Paul Zolkos was another key player, going 2-for-5 with three stolen bases and two runs.
Meanwhile, Tiverton fell victim to Case and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cardinals. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Cardinals: they've now lost four in a row.
Scituate's victory bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Tiverton, they now have a losing record of 9-10.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Scituate has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.1 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Tiverton struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.9 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Scituate couldn't quite finish off Tiverton in their previous meeting back in April of 2022 and fell 9-7. Will the Spartans have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
