Community School of Davidson has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They just played last night, but they'll still head out to face the Lincoln Charter Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Community School of Davidson posted their biggest win since December 28, 2023 on Thursday. They blew past SouthLake Christian Academy 60-21 at home. Community School of Davidson pushed the score to 58-14 by the end of the third, a deficit SouthLake Christian Academy cut but never quite recovered from.
Molly Feighery and Tyler Baughan were among the main playmakers for Community School of Davidson as the former dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds and the latter scored 22 points along with nine steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Feighery has scored all season. Olivia Stewart was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and 14 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Lincoln Charter waltzed into their match on Tuesday with seven straight wins but they left with eight. They breezed by Corvian Community on the road to the tune of 64-30. With Lincoln Charter ahead 38-10 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Community School of Davidson's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points per game. As for Lincoln Charter, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.
Community School of Davidson beat Lincoln Charter 44-37 in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Community School of Davidson since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
