Medina has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Barker Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Medina focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Thursday.
Even though Albion scored an imposing 55 points, Medina still came out on top. Medina walked away with a 64-55 victory over Albion.
Jerrell Nealy was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Medina's points. Justin Pitts was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 74-45, which was the final score in Barker's tilt against Newfane last Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Barker has suffered against Newfane since February 11, 2020.
Medina's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Barker, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
Medina lost to Barker on the road by a decisive 62-48 margin in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Can Medina avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
