The Malcolm Clippers came tearing into Friday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25 points) and they left with even more momentum. They rang in the new year with a 47-40 win over Milford. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Malcolm also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Malcolm's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Halle Dolliver, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. The game was Dolliver's 11th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Madison Schultz, who scored 15 points.
Malcolm's victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-3. As for Milford, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season.
Malcolm will be playing at home against Ralston at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Milford won't have much time to rest: their next game is against David City at 1:15 p.m. on January 6th. David City will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
