The win was all the more spectacular given Life Center Academy's disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 131st in New Jersey, while Cristo Rey Philadelphia is ranked 45th in Pennsylvania).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Life Center Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mekhi Robertson, who scored 22 points along with six rebounds and two blocks. Another player making a difference was Elijah Brown, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Life Center Academy is on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 20 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 21-9 record this season. As for Cristo Rey Philadelphia, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-3.
